Workflow: is a list of Activities that needs to be done on a specific Object.
Template: is a saved Workflow which can be inserted when needed on an Object.
Objects: can be units, portfolios, contacts and work orders files.
- Open the Object and go to activity tab
- Click on Insert Workflow to create a Workflow against this Object.
A pop up window will open. Choose the Workflow Template from the drop-down and preview the list of Activities that are being added. If correct, edit the name, start date and time, then click insert.
Important Note: The activities that don’t ‘depend on’ any other activity will show up immediately, with the due date you selected. Dependant activities will stay hidden.
Dependent Activities will start appearing as soon as you close the predecessor with a due date based on the close date, or number of days after mentioned in the Activity.
As soon as an activity becomes active, the assigned-to user will get an email notification which contains all the information about the task.
